    Dr. Nicole Beebe

    Nicole Lang Beebe, Ph.D. is the Lachman Distinguished Professor and an Associate Professor of Cyber Security, at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).  UTSA is a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense for both education and research, with a certified Focus Area in Digital Forensics.  Dr. Beebe received her Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology from UTSA, an M.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University, and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.

    Rika Nakazawa, Group Vice President, Connected Industry & Head of Sustainability for Americas, NTT

    Rika is a senior leader, investor, best-selling author, and frequent public speaker on technology - powered business transformation. She is Group Vice President within NTT’s New Ventures &; Innovation team where she is building Agile Innovation practice for emerging technologies like 5G, Blockchain and IoT. She is also Chairwoman of the impact venture Strides AI that is powering corporate high performance by delivering diversity in the C-Suite and Boardroom.

    Trilingual in Japanese, German and English, Rika grew up in Japan and moved to the US to attend Princeton. Rika has since worked internationally for over two decades in senior executive roles in strategy, business development, consulting, and marketing with Fortune 500 companies - Accenture, NVIDIA, Capgemini Sony, American Express - and Silicon Valley startups. She is a Digital Transformation veteran and has served on multiple start-up boards in Next-Generation Computing, Blockchain and AI ecosystems.

    Experienced leading Technology Infrastructure and Information Security with over ten years of experience in developing, managing and leading Information Security Governance and Information Risk Management Domains for large national and global organizations.

    Kathi Haley Whitbey, Principal Business Operations Manager, Unit 42

    Kathi Whitbey currently serves as the Business Operations Manager for Unit 42 Threat Intelligence within Palo Alto Networks. In this role, Kathi was an integral part in the process for incorporating the Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA), to include the initial CTA Platform development efforts for sharing information among member companies. Kathi’s previous roles have included software development management and technical training efforts for various US government organizations, residing in the Washington, DC area for most of her adult life. Kathi has also worked for the US Department of State and traveled all over the world educating employees on custom software applications. In her free time, Kathi serves as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and was afforded the opportunity to serve in that role supporting the US Navy at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa for 12 months. Kathi and her husband moved to TX just 3 1/2 years ago and it's been a crazy adventure so far. Kathi has an M.S. degree in Information Systems.
