1st Speaker:

Dave Neuman | Vice President, Business Security Officer for Global Operations - Dell Technologies

David Neuman is the Vice President, Business Security Officer for Global Operations at Dell Technologies, a $90 billion enterprise committed to transforming businesses, shaping the future of innovation and developing technologies to drive human progress.  David leads the implementation of security and resiliency programs – to include cybersecurity, physical security, product security and enterprise resiliency – across the Global Operations organization. He serves as the principal advisor to Global Operations leadership on security and resiliency risk and facilitate their management of risk appetite in order to enable critical business functions and protect Dell’s assets and customer trust.

Prior to joining Dell Technologies, David served as the Global Chief Information Security Officer at iHeartMedia where he was responsible for all aspects of information security and governance, risk and compliance for iHeartMedia's businesses, working closely with all divisions to ensure protection of its multiplatform assets.

He also served as the Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer at Rackspace. He was responsible for global information security and cyber defense operations, strategic business alignment, and governance, risk and compliance to protect the Rackspace $2.5 billion enterprise. 

David was an Executive Director and COO for EY’s Americas Cyber Security Practice. He operationalized four sub-competencies and developed a five-year growth plan to meet $500 million growth ambitions. He also advised Audit Committees, C-suites and operational leaders of Fortune 500 companies on the cyber threat landscape and modern protection methods for business and technology resiliency.

David served in the United States Air Force for 28 years where he commanded the Air Force’s first cyber hunting unit defending key Department of Defense operations against nation state attack and exploitation.  He holds a M.A. degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from Naval War College, a M.S. degree in Security Administration from Bellevue University, and a B.S. degree in Computer Studies from the University of Maryland University College.  His is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.

Wil Bennett | Chief Information Security Officer - USAA

Wil is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at USAA. His responsibilities include establishing and maintaining an enterprise-wide information risk security program while ensuring tight linkage with the overall corporate strategy.

Prior to his current role, Wil worked alongside a highly effective team of strategy and analytic professionals focused on financial crimes prevention and detection. Wil has been a member of the USAA team since January of 1998, when he joined the Information Security organization.

Prior to this role, he was the Executive Director, Cyber Threat Operations Center where he and his team were responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive enterprise-wide information risk security program.  Previous roles include Director of the Cyber Threat Prevention and Security Advisor teams where he was responsible for USAA network perimeter security, software development lifecycle security, third party network penetration assessments of USAA’s security posture and risk assessments on USAA projects and third-party suppliers.  Wil and his team were recognized and featured in CSO Magazine for the 2013 CSO40 Awards that recognize security projects that have delivered outstanding business value, and again in 2015 for CSO50 for his team's work on the Financial Crimes Analytics Lab.

Prior to joining USAA, Wil served as a Senior Network Security Consultant for Trident Data Systems where he was involved with security policy development and implementation, firewall integrations, product development, heterogeneous system security audits, network attack and penetration engagements and project management for Fortune 500 Companies and several government agencies.  He also worked for AT&T, SAIC and TRW as a Systems Network Engineer.

Wil proudly served in the United States Air Force where he was able to have a wide variety of roles and experiences during his short tenure to include service in Operation Just Cause in Panama.

Wil holds a baccalaureate degree from UTSA and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Electronic Commerce from Colorado Technical University. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Dan King | Sales Engineer - Rubrik

Presentation - When Ransomware Hits! A Day in the Life of a Real Ransomware Attack

Dan is the former VP of Information Technology at Frost Bank. He is an author who wrote the book on back and recovery in mission-critical environments. Dan joined Rubrik in 2018 where he specializes in helping customers project and recover their data.
